VOYAGES: BEYOND YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER

This series of paintings and sculptures takes you through a dream-like meditation on our present moment in flight.  Whether it be the real voyage of moving matter through space and time or a mental voyage, the series takes you frame by frame through a new world.  It invites you to slow down time and look through a small window in the great scene of life.  As if looking at the great void and the beginning of a new dimension, the subjects are jettisoned into the probabilities of the universe.

If one were to travel to the edge of a black hole or the event horizon, as it is known, one would be able to see past what is currently known.  Theoretically, beyond the event horizon is a place of infinite density, where matter has collapsed in on itself gravitationally, where nothing, not even light can escape its strong gravitational pull.  These issues form the basis for this experiment.  They question how far we are willing to travel and how much time we have for that voyage…
